Five mana for a 4/5 that stuns a couple of creatures and draws you a card before dying definitely seems too slow for Standard

It's a pretty straight forward card, but it can put you on the board early, especially since to make the most use out of him, you'll want to exert him

This is especially useful if you want to create a themed set say, a custom commander cycle, a series of tournament memories, or a collection of card alters you've created

Favorites include Dreamscape Artist, Diplomatic Escort, Jaya Ballard, Psychic Frog, Skirge Familiar to add mana, Stronghold Biologist and Machinist to counter creature/noncreature spells, but my two all-stars would be Chamber of Manipulation and Overtaker, turning your land cards into creature-stealing effects for fun and profit
