The signature at bottom left on this wonderful watercolor is near impossible to read

all original with a nice dry wood patina

rather elegant creature to add to shelves filled with studio pottery or mid-c design objects I think

I found a school girl watercolor of two birds on a branch clearly based on the birds printed here--likely a certificate like this one hung in the home of the child who did it

It is an old one, signed in ink at lower right, c. mid 3rd quarter 19th century I believe. Very strong color and bold black, and feels very much as if veering toward abstraction.
