a cylindrical box with domed lid and wonderful proportions--so pretty

and have not found another out there quite like it

so was very happy to find this one in Maine this weekend

but I’m really not sure if that’s what he was made of or if he’s just weathered many a storm

On the underside is a metal plate which allows it to stay upright on the water (and it does indeed float)

This seems an overfull box, I think perhaps with some extras mixed in, and all the crayons are in very good shape, with just one or two missing their pointy tips. Box, which shows a little wear but is still holding together fine,
